Who are they?
Formally know as Friends of St Josephs Hospital. Founded in 1979 the Friends are a group of people who assisted the hospital financially over the past thirty years, in order to improve services for the patients. To date they provided many amenities for the patients including additional medical equipment, social activities and patients comfort.
Aims and Objectives.
To provide the resources for the provision of equipment, services and other means of care and support for the patients in South Tipp General Hospital.
Hospital Amenities.
Those include items not financed by Department of Health but which are considered by the Friends to be necessary for well being of the patients and efficiency of the hospital.Examples include special beds, televisions, hospital radio and social occasions
Membership - Its Role.
To provide a steady income from annual subscriptions, which enable and expand their regular contribution to the hospital patients.
